What Are The Factors That Affect The Frequency Of The Coil Tattooing Machine
Aug 17, 2022
There are many factors that affect the frequency of the coil tattooing machine: the frame design, the size and shape of the hanging iron; The material, thickness, bending angle and shape of the front and rear elastic pieces; The height of the coil, the number of turns, and even the thickness of the copper wire used will affect it. I have also spent more energy on learning this knowledge, but now looking back, I think that it is not too meaningful to learn this knowledge, and the input is not proportional to the output. As a tattooist, it may be better to have this energy to study composition and stabbing skills. Coil tattoo machine related knowledge is an optional course. It's good to learn it, but it doesn't matter if you don't learn it.
Tattoo machines generally use non-polar electrolytic capacitors below 20V. Fast frequency machines mostly use 47uF, and medium and slow frequency machines range from 100 to 470uf. The larger the capacitance, the lower the frequency.
As we all know, the skin is elastic. When the needle is inserted into the skin, the skin accumulates force backward. When the needle is retracted, the skin will release the force to push the needle away. If the hanging iron has no force in the process of resetting, the next needle will just stab the skin in the most relaxed state, which is ineffective penetration: only breaking the skin but not coloring. The accumulation of such situations will lead to too many invalid penetration and insufficient effective penetration capacity.
The solution to this problem on the coil tattoo machine is to increase the capacitance, which is a small battery. When the circuit is formed, it stores electricity, and when the circuit is disconnected, it discharges. In the above article, the hanging iron slowly returns when it is charged during the resetting process, which will not easily push the skin away. In this way, the problem of insufficient effective penetration capacity is solved, but the frequency is relatively reduced.
At the same time, there is another solution: FM tattoo machine. This machine uses no capacitor and front shrapnel, directly connects the rear shrapnel to the hanging iron, reduces the frequency of the machine through special frequency modulation components, and leaves time for the skin to calm down the excessive jitter, thus increasing the effective penetration.
